Barbanza Motorway
The Barbanza Highway runs next to the north coast of the saline estuary, Ría de Arousa, and connects Ribeira on the west with the Autopista del Atlántico in Padrón (A Coruña), providing this prominent fish town with access to a road network of high capacity. With a length of 40 kilometers, the inauguration of this highway in December of 2008 made for a noticeable improvement in the safety of the road, especially when compared to the road it was substituting.
