Eliptica Square Transportation Hub, Madrid
The Hub’s plan, developed by the Madrid Transport Consortium and inaugurated in 2007, involved the construction of four new infrastructures in the main entrances to Madrid. It allowed the removal of 15,500 daily buses from the surface, improving the mobility of more than one million travelers each day. The objective was to make conditions in the transportation hub similar to those established in airports, thus encouraging more people to use the station.
