Elqui Route Highway

Project corresponding to the Second Concession of the current concession contract called "Concesión Internacional Ruta 5 tramo Los Vilos-La Serena", which in addition to considering different works in the interurban section, incorporates the urban sector of Ruta 5 that crosses the cities of Coquimbo and La Serena. For the interurban section, different types of works are proposed, including upgrades, complements and new works, among others. For the urban sector, in general terms, an urban roadway is planned with express lanes with three lanes in each direction, service roads on both sides, on almost its entire length, as well as pedestrian walkways for pedestrian cross connection, sidewalks and street furniture. The project will include lighting, landscaping, signage, demarcation and road safety, drainage and sanitation, among other works, slope treatment, platform widening, geometric layout rectification, new structures, service roads, pedestrian walkways, etc.
