We preserve the landscaping and the cultural heritage in the Algarrobo Route Highway

The protection of the native flora and the culture of Incahuasi, a Chilean village in the Atacama Region, has allowed us to promote sustainable actions and strengthen ties with local communities.

Sacyr Concesiones

Sacyr has developed various initiatives to revitalize the flora and restore the cultural infrastructures in the Algarrobo Route Highway (Route 5, Chile). Thus, the village of Incahuasi has new green areas that not only improve the appearance of the zone and the urban’s accesses, but also benefit the environment. 

In addition, the area's bus stops have been remodelled by adding representative mosaics of native species of fauna.  This is not the first action carried out by the concessionaire in Incahuasi: previously we have also restored a distinctive local chapel that is considered a cultural heritage site. 
Through these initiatives, we have been part of the day to day lives of the communities that are in the Route 5 La Serna-Vallenar, improved their setting and promoted solutions that integrate environmental and cultural protection criteria.
