As part of the 2024 conservation campaign in our Turia Highway PPP, we carried out several interventions to favor the comfort and safety of the road users, alongside the El Prat schoolchildren in the Spanish town of Llíria.

For the paving of Autovía del Turia, we decided to use an SMA-5 type mixture with the addition of cellulose fibers, which has the peculiarity of being sound-reducing. It means among its characteristics is the reduction of noise caused by the contact between the tires and the pavement. This makes it the ideal material for locations close to sensitive buildings, such as the El Prat school in Llíria. In addition, this material continues to fulfill its function of comfort, safety, and durability for the benefit of drivers.

Specifically, the pavement renovation took place at the junction connecting the Turia Highway with the CV-25 road, close to the Spanish city of Valencia, at the kilometer point 26+000, at the Llíria Norte junction. In total, 14,100 m2 have been renovated between the traffic circles on both sides of the Autovía del Turia, as well as the junction and exit branches.

These works are part of the modernization of the road marking, which also includes the renewal of the traffic signs to reinforce the warning of schoolchildren and the application of a new speed limit at 50 km/h in the vicinity of the school. In this way, we increase safety for students and teachers, while promoting safer and more comfortable driving.
